Configuration for Windows 10


To configure IKEv2 in Windows 10:

  • Download Windows.zip and extract the Windows_8.1_10 folder to your Windows desktop.
  • To start the installation process, within the Windows_8.1_10 folder, right click the rootca.crt file and select Install Certificate.
  • Select the Local Machine store location and click Next 
  • Select Place all certificates in the following store and click Browse 
  • Select Trusted Root Certificate Authorities, click OK and then click Next.
  • Click Finish to complete the certificate installation process
  • Click the Windows Start, select Settings or press Windows+I on the keyboard 
  • Select Network & Internet, then VPN 
  • Click Add a VPN connection 
  • Specify these settings 
    • VPN provider: Windows (built-in) 
    • Connection name: Choose a connection name (for example, "WG IKEv2") 
    • Server name or address: 67.208.97.214 
    • VPN Type: IKEv2 

NOTE: It is recommended that you uncheck "Remember my sign-in info" 

  • Click Save


Verify settings: 

  • Open the Control Panel in Windows. 
  • Click Network and Sharing Center and on the left panel click Change adapter settings
  • Right click newly created VPN connection and select Properties
  • Under Networking tab, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and select Properties
  • Click the “Advanced...” button and ensure Use default gateway on remote network is checked 
  • Click OK 3 times to close out of the Properties windows


Connecting to VPN 

  • Click the Windows Start, select Settings or press Windows+I on the keyboard
  • Select Network & Internet, then VPN.
  • Left-click the VPN connection you added and click "Connect."


Alternatively, you can also access the VPN option by clicking the Network icon on the taskbar, left click the VPN connector and click Connect.
