Configure Windows 10 with 802.1X


How to configure the wireless adapter:

  1. Right-click on the Wireless Network Connection icon in the Taskbar (bottom right on the desktop). Select Open Network and Sharing Center.
    • You can also find your network connections in: Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center.
  2. In the window that appears, select Set up a new connection or network.
  3. Select Manually connect to a wireless network, then click Next.
  4. Enter information for the wireless network you want to add:
    • Network name: NUNM-Student 
    • Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise
  5. Click Next.
  6. Click Change connection settings.
  7. Click the Security tab, then Settings.
  8. Uncheck Verify the server's identity by validating the certificate.
  9. Under Select Authentication Methodclick Configure.
  10. Make sure the Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any) is unchecked.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Select Advanced Settings.
  13. Check the Specify Authentication Mode box.
  14. Select User authentication (if this doesn’t work, try User or computer authentication).
  15. Click OK.
  16. In the next window, click OK again. You are now set up to automatically connect to 'NUNM-Student'


TO LOG IN:

  1. Click on the Wireless icon in the taskbar (bottom right on the Desktop).
  2. Choose 'NUNM-Student' and click Connect.
  3. Enter your student username (FirstName.LastName) and password.
  4. Click OK.
